Every colocation service includes 100 Mbps of unlimited internet, delivered on a 1 Gbps port at no additional charge. Because the port is 1 Gbps from the outset, moving up is a configuration change rather than new hardware.
This service is optional. The facility is carrier-neutral — you are equally free to take transit from any of the other twelve providers on-net, or from a provider brought into the facility.

Allocations of /27 and larger require technical justification in accordance with APNIC policy — demonstrating 25% immediate utilisation with 50% within 12 months. IPv4 scarcity means these are assessed rather than granted automatically; contact us to discuss your requirement before ordering.
Advertising your own address space
Caznet advertises your prefixes
If you already hold IP address space, Caznet will advertise it on your behalf via BGP. No public ASN is required on your end. Existing addressing stays intact through a migration.
You run BGP yourself
Where you hold your own ASN and want to establish a BGP session from your own equipment — for multi-homing across two providers on-net, for example — that can be arranged. Talk to us about the design before ordering.
Holding your own address space means changing transit provider does not mean renumbering, and multi-homing across two on-net providers is a routing change rather than a migration.
DDoS protection
An add-on to any Caznet internet service, not part of the standard service. Scrubbing is applied upstream of your rack rather than at your own firewall.
Always-on, not on-demand
Traffic is inspected continuously rather than redirected once an attack is underway.
Full traffic scrubbing
Malicious traffic is detected and filtered automatically before it reaches your network, without dropping legitimate traffic alongside it.
Mitigated upstream
Volumetric attacks are absorbed upstream, before they reach your port.
Where it applies
Public-facing platforms, local government, and anything with a published IP range. Deployed for the Town of Gawler alongside their dark fibre and colocation build.
Segmented delivery is available on the same service — corporate systems separated from public-facing or guest networks on isolated VLANs, so public usage cannot reach internal systems or starve them of bandwidth.
Internet exchanges on-net
Peering in Adelaide is direct: all three internet exchanges present in the city terminate in this building, each reachable from your rack by cross connect.
If you run your own ASN, peering at an exchange keeps domestic traffic local and off paid transit.
How the service reaches your rack
A single-mode fibre cross connect within the building, not a tail circuit from somewhere else. There is no metro tail, no last-mile access circuit and no third-party segment to fault-find across.
Single-mode fibre, wires-only
Rack colocation is delivered over a single-mode fibre cross connect between your rack and Caznet's network. No NTD, modem or media converter is supplied — your equipment must terminate 1 Gbps SMOF, which in practice means an SFP port and a compatible optic. Per-RU packages differ.
Provisioned with the rack
Where internet is ordered alongside colocation, the cross connect is run and tested before handover, so the rack is reachable from the moment equipment is installed.
Multi-homing is straightforward
A second service from another provider on-net is another cross connect. Genuine provider diversity in the same rack is a matter of ordering it, not of building anything.
Support from Adelaide
Faults are handled by Caznet's Adelaide team, who can also attend the rack. Where a problem needs eyes on the hardware, remote hands is the same team.
Choosing a speed
Average throughput is a poor guide. Peak behaviour is what determines whether a service feels adequate.
Size on peak, not average
If you are moving an existing service, size on its measured peak rather than its average. Our explainer on measuring peak throughput covers the method.
Account for backup windows
Offsite backup and replication run in concentrated windows rather than spread across the day, and commonly set the peak.
Separate replication from transit
Where you are replicating to or from your own sites, a private link is usually a better answer than buying internet capacity to carry it, and it keeps the two workloads from competing.
