Low CoS — standard internet

Low Class of Service is the standard tier for most internet workloads — web browsing, cloud applications, email and general business connectivity. No frame delay or jitter guarantees are specified; the service uses available capacity on the EE network. This is what the plan cards above are priced on, and what most businesses need.

High CoS — latency-sensitive applications

High Class of Service provides strict performance parameters: frame delay under 5.25 ms, jitter under 1 ms, and frame loss below 0.01%. This makes it suitable for real-time voice (VoIP), MPLS circuits, synchronous storage replication, and dedicated office-to-data-centre connectivity where latency variation would cause application issues. Priced higher than Low CoS.

Support tiers, eSLA & service availability

Every NBN Enterprise Ethernet plan includes a formal support tier. Your tier determines the eSLA restoration target and whether a Service Availability Guarantee (SAG) applies — both set by NBN Co.

How the eSLA clock works

The eSLA restoration clock starts only after NBN Co formally accepts the fault as residing within their access network — not from the moment your service drops. Caznet lodges the fault with NBN Co on your behalf; if NBN Co accepts it as a qualifying network fault, the clock starts and the restoration target applies.

How the SAG rebate works

When the SAG target is breached by a qualifying fault, rebates are calculated per affected service per calendar month on a sliding scale — 20% for minor breaches up to 50% for extended outages. Rebates must be claimed within 3 months of the event and are applied as a credit to your account, not as a cash payment.

What the eSLA and SAG don't cover
Customer-side faults

The eSLA and SAG apply only to faults confirmed within the NBN Co access network. Faults caused by customer premises equipment, routers, internal cabling, building wiring, or power failure at the premises are excluded.

Planned & emergency outages

Planned maintenance windows and emergency outages declared by NBN Co are excluded from the eSLA clock and SAG calculations — regardless of duration.

Force majeure

Storms, floods, natural disasters, and any event outside NBN Co's reasonable control are excluded. Situations where a technician cannot gain physical access to the premises are also excluded from the clock.

Targets, not absolute guarantees

The eSLA and SAG are targets set and administered by NBN Co. While they carry financial remedies for qualifying breaches, they are not unconditional service guarantees — Caznet passes through NBN Co's eSLA commitment to you as the end customer.

Uptime SAG on Gold

Gold support targets 99.95% service availability, with financial rebates available when that target is breached on qualifying faults — subject to exclusions.

4-hour fault response on Gold

Gold support (included on 500 Mbps and above) targets a 4-hour 24/7 eSLA response for qualifying NBN network faults — right for mission-critical sites.

Unlimited data, no caps

No data caps or excess usage charges — your team can utilise the full bandwidth of their plan every day of the month.

NBN Enterprise Ethernet — common questions

  • NBN Enterprise Ethernet (EE) is a premium NBN product that delivers dedicated, end-to-end fibre connectivity with symmetric speeds from 250 Mbps up to 10 Gbps. Unlike standard NBN plans, NBN Enterprise Ethernet runs on a separate NBN layer designed specifically for high-demand business users, with formal support SLAs and optional service availability guarantees.

  • A symmetric connection has identical speeds for uploads and downloads. This matters for businesses using cloud applications, video conferencing, VoIP, off-site backups and hosted servers — all of which require significant upload bandwidth that standard NBN plans can't deliver.

  • The SAG (Service Availability Guarantee) is a 99.95% monthly uptime target included with Gold support. When that target is breached by a qualifying fault, service rebates apply — 20% of the monthly fee up to 50% depending on the extent of the breach. Gold is included on 500 Mbps and above, and is available as an add-on ($149/mth) on the 250 Mbps tier. Bronze (included on 250 Mbps) does not include a SAG. The SAG applies to qualifying faults on the NBN Co network only — exclusions include planned maintenance, force majeure events, power failure at the premises, customer equipment and internal cabling faults, and situations where site access cannot be obtained.

  • Standard NBN Business uses a shared access network with asymmetric speeds and best-effort delivery. NBN Enterprise Ethernet uses a dedicated NBN layer with symmetric speeds, formal eSLA response time targets and an optional SAG. It's the right choice when connectivity is mission-critical and downtime has a direct business cost.

  • NBN Enterprise Ethernet requires a site qualification (SQ) by NBN Co before an order can be placed. The SQ confirms that the infrastructure required to deliver the service to your premises exists or can be built. In some cases a feasibility study is required for failed SQs. Caznet manages this process on your behalf — contact us to get started.

  • Setup is $0 on 36-month agreements. On 12-month agreements a setup fee applies — contact us for details. Fibre build costs are absorbed in most cases; however, sites requiring significant civil works may incur additional charges. Caznet will advise you of any costs after the site qualification is completed. Once ordered, delivery typically takes 50–90 business days from order acceptance to activation.
