A single server, a firewall, a backup appliance or a small stack can sit in a shared cabinet at the Adelaide CBD facility and get the same redundant power, N+1 cooling, fire detection and physical security as any other equipment in the building — without paying for space that would sit empty.
Per-RU colocation starts at $135 per month ex GST for a single rack unit. Pricing is fixed for the contract term.

How power is measured
Measured across A and B combined
Your allocation is the total drawn across every outlet on both feeds, not a figure per feed. A 1RU package with 150 W does not mean 150 W on A and 150 W on B.
The limit applies to peak, not average
There is no allowance for bursting above the allocation. Size on measured peak draw rather than the nameplate rating on the power supply, and allow headroom for start-up surge.
Draw above the allocation is charged
Where consumption exceeds what you have taken, the excess is charged. Adding a 100 W block in advance is the cheaper path where the higher draw is expected.
Connect dual-supply equipment across both feeds
Equipment with two power supplies should take one outlet on A and one on B, so the loss of a feed does not interrupt it. Single-supply equipment — appliances, older switches — is a known single point of failure unless placed behind a transfer switch.
Equipment must be rack mountable. Each package is a defined number of rack units in a shared cabinet, so everything you install has to mount to the rails. Equipment cannot be stacked on top of other equipment — desktop appliances, external drives and anything without rack ears cannot be accommodated.
Network connections
One 1 Gbps copper Ethernet handoff is included. Additional ports, higher speeds and cross connects to other providers are available.
1 Gbps copper Ethernet
Handed off as copper Ethernet at the cabinet — an RJ45 patch into the Caznet network, so no optic or media converter is needed at your end. The port is 1 Gbps regardless of the speed you take.
Out-of-band access
A separate 10 Mbps handoff with its own public IPv4 address, independent of your production link — so you can still reach a console or management interface when the primary service is down.
10G SFP+ port
Where 1 Gbps is not sufficient at the port. Delivered as fibre rather than copper, so an optic is required at your end.
Cross connect to another provider
Single-mode fibre to any carrier in the building — copper is not offered. You are not required to take connectivity from Caznet.
IP addresses
One usable IPv4 address comes with every package. Larger allocations and your own address space are available as add-ons.
Allocations of /27 and above require technical justification under APNIC policy. All prices ex GST.
Bandwidth
100 Mbps is included with every package, on a 1 Gbps copper Ethernet handoff. Upgrading is a configuration change rather than new hardware.
Copper handoff. Per-RU internet is delivered as copper Ethernet, so no optic or media converter is needed. Rack colocation is handed off as single-mode fibre instead.

Getting to your equipment
Per-RU equipment sits in a shared cabinet, which changes how access works.
Because the cabinet contains other customers' equipment, attendance is escorted rather than unaccompanied, and by prior arrangement. There is no charge during business hours.
Attendance outside business hours is charged at the remote hands rates — $270/hr pre-arranged, $385/hr unplanned. The same applies whether you attend or we do the work for you.
A quarter rack is your own locked cabinet with unescorted 24/7 access, from $550/mth. That is the smallest package providing it.
Out-of-band management covers most routine work without attending. Where physical intervention is needed, remote hands is performed by staff already in the building. See six rules to live by in the data centre.
When a quarter rack is the better buy
Per-RU is the right answer up to a point. Past it, the economics reverse.
Past 4RU
4RU is $420 per month. A quarter rack is $550 for 9RU — five more rack units and your own cabinet for $130.
Past 500 W
Both 4RU and a quarter rack carry a 500 W allocation. On 4RU you can add up to 800 W at $70 per 100 W; past that, a rack is the only way to go higher, and it gives you the space to use it.
You need unescorted access
If your staff need to attend at short notice, out of hours, without arranging an escort or paying for one, that starts at a quarter rack. It is the most common reason customers move up.
You want your own PDUs
Metered or switched PDUs you control, giving per-outlet power visibility and remote power cycling, require your own cabinet.

Yes. Moving between per-RU packages, or up to a quarter rack, does not require relocating to a different facility. Where the move happens inside an existing term the agreement is restructured rather than a second setup fee charged.
