Consolidated Tenders

The problem

Consolidated Tenders operates critical online platforms including tenders.sa.gov.au, equivalent tendering systems across other Australian states, and ProcureConnect in New Zealand. These platforms require highly reliable infrastructure to ensure continuous availability for government agencies and businesses accessing tender information.

Initially, their production environment required a stable, secure hosting platform to support these services.

In addition, their corporate IT environment was running on ageing on-premise hardware and outdated virtualisation platforms, creating performance limitations and increasing risk.

What we did

Caznet initially provided data centre infrastructure to host Consolidated Tenders' production environment. This included infrastructure-as-a-service and managed services supporting multiple government tendering platforms across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring reliable and scalable hosting for critical systems.

Following this, Caznet worked with the business to modernise its corporate environment. New server hardware was deployed into dedicated rack space within the data centre, replacing ageing on-site infrastructure and outdated virtualisation platforms.

A high-performance connectivity solution was implemented, including a 10 Gbps fibre link between the office and data centre, supported by a backup NBN service for resilience.

Enterprise internet services and FortiGate firewall infrastructure were also deployed, providing secure, high-speed access to both production and corporate systems.

The result

Consolidated Tenders now operates its production platforms on a stable, scalable data centre environment supporting critical services across multiple regions.

The migration of corporate infrastructure into the data centre has removed reliance on ageing on-site hardware, improving performance, reliability, and security.

High-speed fibre connectivity between the office and data centre provides seamless access to systems, while redundant connectivity ensures business continuity.

With modern infrastructure, managed services, and secure connectivity in place, the business is well positioned to continue delivering reliable tendering platforms across Australia and New Zealand.
