The problem
Barossa Enterprises is a not-for-profit organisation delivering disability employment services across South Australia. With 12 sites spanning the Barossa Valley and broader SA region, reliable connectivity isn't optional — it underpins case management systems, client records, compliance reporting and the day-to-day work of support staff across every location.
Connectivity had grown organically across the organisation. Different sites were on different providers, different plans and different contract terms. Some locations had business-grade services; others had fallen back to consumer internet when better options weren't available at the time. The result was inconsistent performance, fragmented support, and no single point of accountability when something went wrong.
Managing a patchwork of telco providers across 12 sites — each with their own billing, support contacts and renewal dates — was a significant administrative burden. Leadership wanted to simplify, standardise, and reduce what the organisation was spending on communications infrastructure overall.
What we did
Caznet became the single telco provider across all 12 Barossa Enterprises sites, replacing multiple incumbent providers under one agreement, one invoice and one support team.
At the Nuriootpa head office, we deployed NBN Enterprise Ethernet — a symmetric, SLA-backed service with guaranteed uptime commitments appropriate for the volume and sensitivity of data flowing through the primary site.
Across the remaining 11 locations, we delivered NBN Business Internet services, each sized to the needs of that site. Every connection operates under a business-grade SLA with priority fault handling — no site is treated as low priority regardless of its size or location.
For voice, we deployed Microsoft Teams Calling across the organisation, replacing aging desk phone infrastructure and enabling staff to handle calls from anywhere — whether they're in the office, working from home or visiting a client site.
Caznet also supplied Mobile SIM services for staff who needed mobile connectivity as part of their role, consolidating mobile under the same provider relationship. Throughout the project, we worked in close collaboration with Cygnet Systems, Barossa Enterprises' managed IT provider, ensuring the network and voice rollout integrated cleanly with their existing systems and support arrangements.
The result
All 12 sites now operate on a consistent, standardised network — same provider, same SLA, same support contact. Staff experience reliable connectivity regardless of which site they're working from, and IT management can handle telco issues through a single relationship rather than chasing multiple carriers.
Consolidating to Caznet delivered savings of approximately $11,000 per year against what Barossa Enterprises was previously spending across their various providers — a direct result of removing duplication and negotiating a single wholesale agreement across all sites.
With a stable, standardised communications foundation in place, Barossa Enterprises is well positioned to continue expanding its services and geographic footprint without the telco complexity that had built up over the years.
